Privacy notice

This notice explains what information this website records about visitors and why. It applies UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who is responsible

This site is operated by the owner of the bazookaemail.net domain. Contact: privacy@bazookaemail.net.

What we record

When you visit, our servers record the date and time, your IP address, your browser's user-agent string, the page you asked for, any referring page, and general network information supplied by our hosting provider (such as country and network operator). If you submit a form, we also record what you submit. We do not use cookies and we do not run analytics or advertising scripts.

Why we record it

We record this information to keep the site secure and to prevent spam, abuse and automated collection of email addresses. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR): running a small public website that is regularly targeted by automated software.

IP reputation checks

When a visitor requests certain pages of this site, we send the visitor's IP address to the http:BL service operated by Project Honey Pot, using a DNS lookup, to check whether that address is a known source of abuse. The answer is stored with the request record.

Email addresses shown on this site

The email addresses shown on this site are generated for each visit. We keep a record of which visit an address was shown to, so that misuse of an address can be traced. If you send a message to one of these addresses, we keep the message and its sender details for analysis. Messages that appear to be scams or other fraud may be retained and analysed for fraud prevention.

Who we share it with

Our hosting, storage and email routing are provided by Cloudflare, acting on our behalf. We may share IP addresses and limited details of abusive activity with abuse-reporting services and network operators. We do not sell personal data.

How long we keep it

• Request logs, form submissions and address records: 12 months, then deleted.
• Messages sent to addresses on this site: 24 months, then deleted.

Your rights

You may ask to see, correct or erase personal data we hold about you, or object to our use of it. Please tell us the IP address and approximate time of your visit so that we can find it. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
